Ingredients
- ½ cup chopped onions
- ½ cup chopped celery
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 pkg Jimmy Dean Sausage (Hot) - I used regular today
- 1 Pkg (bag) Pepperidge Farm Stuffing
- 2 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 stick butter
Preparation
- Cook sausage over medium-high heat until well done. Remove sausage, but keep skillet and drippings. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Using the same skillet, sauté onions, celery and mushrooms until tender.
- In large pot, bring the chicken broth and butter to boil. Remove from heat and add stuffing, mixing well. Add onions, mushrooms, celery and sausage to stuffing. Mix well.
- Place stuffing in shallow baking dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until hot.
